  1. For Tuesday’s class, bring (digitally or hard copy) an editorial cartoon. We will use these for a class activity. Put some thought into this and find an interesting piece to analyze.

  2. Please have your book (Bird or Time) finished by Wednesday.

  3. Wrapping up satire— Open this link and scroll to page 3. Learning target-Students will identify different rhetorical strategies in an AP satire prompt and use these strategies to write a well developed thesis and main points for an analysis essay.

  4. Explore student sample responses to this prompt. What makes the good one stand out?
